Standard batteries are emerging like bamboo shoots. The requirements for extrusion and functions in many standards are different. Currently, the extrusion machine developed by Bell Company that is applicable to various standards includes: temperature-controlled extrusion testing machine, automotive battery extrusion testing machine, and lithium battery extrusion testing machine. These three models can cover all current standards. How to determine and choose better?
1. Determine the type of extrusion machine based on the type of battery:
1.1 For automotive batteries, generally use the automotive battery extrusion testing machine or computer-type battery extrusion testing machine. Because automotive batteries are under high pressure and the standards require compressing the battery to 85% of its original size and maintaining pressure for a period of time before compressing it to 50% of its original size, generally according to the two standards QC744/QC743 in the table, the Bell brand BE-6045D automotive battery extrusion testing machine can meet these two standards and has now been widely used, it is a new type, high-end, and has a higher safety performance level equipment.
1.2 For mobile phone batteries and lithium batteries, generally use ordinary battery extrusion testing machines, requiring a pressure of 13KN. The Bell brand BE-6045 can meet this requirement. Generally, the standards that can be met include: SJ/T11169-1998, UL1642-2007, SJ/T11170-1998, UL2054, MH/T1020-2007, UN38, GB/T18287-2000, GB/T18287-200X, YD1268-2003, QB/T2502-2000, SJ/TXXXX-200X, IEC62281-2004.
1.3 For cell batteries, some cell batteries need to be tested under certain temperatures, so there is a temperature-controlled extrusion testing machine. The Bell brand BE-6045W can meet this standard requirement. It has now been produced and is in the process of applying for a patent.
